Moving Take-up Unit

The moving take-up unit (MTU) features a moving spool design with smooth tension control. This is ideal for delicate or flat materials because the product travels in a straight line directly onto the take-up spool. This minimizes twisting and produces a neater wind with less strain on the material. Features include adjustable tension control through an electronic slip clutch and length counting. Three standard sizes are offered for spools up to 36 inches in diameter and 18 inches long weighing up to 300 pounds. The systems can be designed for a wide variety of other spool and wire or tubing sizes.
